After 'ripped jeans' remark, Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat now says 'US enslaved us for 200 years'

Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat on Sunday in a major gaffe confused the UK with the USA while remarking how India tackled the Covid-19 pandemic better than the country which ruled it for 200 years. "America, which enslaved us for 200 years, which ruled the world, under whose empire it was said the sun didn't set...recorded over 2.75 lakh Covid-19 deaths," he said.
