Covid-19: Bharat Biotech ramps up Covaxin capacity to 700 million doses per annum

Bharat Biotech, the developer of indigenous Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin, on Tuesday said it has scaled up its manufacturing capacities of Covaxin to 700 million doses per annum making it one of the largest production capacities for Inactivated viral vaccines globally. The company said the scale-up has been carried out across multiple facilities at Hyderabad, where it has facilities at Genome Valley, as well as Bangalore where its related entity Biovet Pvt Ltd has facilities at Malur.
