Omicron expected to be less severe; lessons from 2nd wave will help India: Govt report

The economic impact of Covid's Omicron variant is expected to be less severe in India but people must continue to take all precautions to the maximum extent possible, the finance ministry said in a recent report.In its monthly Economic Review, the finance ministry said that India will be among only a few economies in the world to rebound strongly from Covid-19 induced economic contraction of 2020-21.
