8.7 lakh vacancies in central ministries as of March 2020, says government

Minister of state for personnel Jitendra Singh, in reply to a question dated February 3, 2022, stated that more than 2.65 lakh central government posts had been filled up between 2018-19 and 2020-21 through recruitment agencies like Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs).
