PM Modi, Putin discuss coup attempt; Kremlin claims PM’s support

PM Modi spoke to Russian President Putin on Friday in the aftermath of an aborted coup by a former ally, Yevgeny Prigozhin. The Kremlin readout said Modi backed the "decisive actions of the Russian leadership" to protect law and order.

Dr. Sharvari Inamdar, a 40-year-old mother of two from Pune, India, has become the only Indian to win two gold medals in the annual World Masters Powerlifting championship held in Mongolia. Competing in the 57kg category, Inamdar lifted a total of 350kg to secure the gold medal. She also achieved a total of 395kg in the 'equipped' category, earning her the second rank in the International Powerlifting Federation's 'Best Lifters of Masters/Strong Woman' title.
