"Bill was initiated by UPA": Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Women Reservation Bill

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has expressed support for the Women Reservation Bill, which was recently approved by the Cabinet. He credited the demand for the bill to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) and Sonia Gandhi. The bill seeks to reserve 33% of seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies for women. Despite being introduced in the past, the bill has faced delays. BJP IT Cell in-charge Amit Malviya criticized the Congress for claiming credit for the bill, highlighting previous instances where it was not supported. The bill is expected to be introduced in the Lok Sabha soon.
