A collision between two trains in Andhra Pradesh's Vizianagaram has resulted in the cancellation of 33 trains and the rescheduling of six others. At least 13 people died and several were injured when coaches derailed after the Visakhapatnam-Ragada passenger train hit a Visakhapatnam-Ragada train travelling on the same route in Andhra Pradesh's Vizianagaram district on Sunday evening. The Guptas are also founders of Ashoka University, which is being investigated in relation to the case. The university has denied any link to the pharmaceutical company. Madhya Pradesh Congress on Wednesday changed candidates for four assembly seats following protests and what party sources called "strong feedback from the grassroots". Two of them are MLAs - Ajab Singh Kushwaha and Murli Morwal - who had been dropped, apparently as a result of internal surveys. These four constituencies are Sumawali, Pipariya (SC), Badnagar and Jaora. With this, Congress has changed candidates on seven seats. 40-year-old 1st Indian to win 2 World Masters Powerlifting gold

Dr. Sharvari Inamdar, a 40-year-old mother of two from Pune, India, has become the only Indian to win two gold medals in the annual World Masters Powerlifting championship held in Mongolia. Competing in the 57kg category, Inamdar lifted a total of 350kg to secure the gold medal. She also achieved a total of 395kg in the 'equipped' category, earning her the second rank in the International Powerlifting Federation's 'Best Lifters of Masters/Strong Woman' title. High court lets Manipur tribal bodies appeal Meitei ST tag order

The Manipur high court has allowed four tribal organisations to appeal a previous HC order of March 27 this year directing the state government to send a recommendation on ST status for the Meitei community to the Centre. The March order was followed around a month later by the sectarian violence that simmered for months and has so far claimed at least 180 lives.
