I-T yet to finish counting notes in Jharkhand, Odisha operation

New currency counting machines have been pressed into service after the units that were being used broke down, hampering the counting of cash seized at various locations, allegedly linked to Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dhiraj Sahu, in the income tax department's search operations in Odisha and Jharkhand. The total cash seizure, income tax department sources said, could reach the Rs 300 crore mark once counting is completed in the next two to three days. Gold and silver jewellery weighing nearly 17 kgs have also been seized.
