Arunachal CM Khandu joins Dalai Lama's birthday celebrations in Tawang

Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu participated in the 89th birthday celebration of Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Saturday. The event was held at the Galden Namgey Lhatse Monastery in Tawang district, Arunachal Pradesh. The Tawang Monastery, a 400-year-old establishment, is the largest Buddhist monastery in India and the second-largest in Asia. As part of the celebration, chief minister Khandu took part in a cake-cutting event and a prayer ceremony organized by the monks of the monastery.
