Paralympics 2024: PM Modi interacts with athletes, shares video

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised India's Paralympic team for their outstanding performance at the Paris Games, where they secured a record-breaking 29 medals. The haul included seven golds, nine silvers, and 13 bronze medals. Highlights included Avani Lekhara's two golds in shooting and Sumit Antil's record-breaking javelin throw. India finished in 18th place overall.

Dr. Sharvari Inamdar, a 40-year-old mother of two from Pune, India, has become the only Indian to win two gold medals in the annual World Masters Powerlifting championship held in Mongolia. Competing in the 57kg category, Inamdar lifted a total of 350kg to secure the gold medal. She also achieved a total of 395kg in the 'equipped' category, earning her the second rank in the International Powerlifting Federation's 'Best Lifters of Masters/Strong Woman' title.
